Nemasket poster does good
As most of you know, I'm running the nemasket forum. There is very little casino talk - in fact it was banned for the first month or so. Most of the discussion is about town issues - most recently the upcoming Annual Town Meeting.

One of our posters took the initiative in buying lawn signs to advertise the meeting to increase the attendance. The idea, of course, is to make sure that the vote at town meeting actually represents the will of the town - and not the will of whatever group packs town meeting to get their agenda passed.

Several of us on the forum chipped in on the signs and I count this as a good thing that the forum has spawned. Make no mistake - it was the initiative of one poster that got this done - but the forum created an environment that promoted this sort of action.

There have been a number of great ideas discussed on the forum as well as just general knowledge sharing. About a month ago we started discussing Chapter 43D the "expedited permitting" law. None of us really knew a thing about it but that discussion gave us a big head start on the upcoming town meeting articles that are related to 43D.

The forum is only viewable by members - so don't be surprised if you can't read it. I'll be making other blog posting about interesting ideas or discussions that come out of the nemasket forum as they arise.
